Situated on the South Side bordering Lake Michigan, Hyde Park features vintage apartment towers, Greystone walk-ups, single-family brick homes, and mid-century townhomes. It is bounded by 51st Street to the north, 60th Street to the south, Cottage Grove Avenue to the west, and the lakefront to the east. The area is served by Metra Electric rail lines and contains several Frederick Law Olmsted parks.
